Add <uses> type relationships?

Hi -

Is there a way / would it be possible to add uses=style relationship lines to the class designer? So, for instance, when I have a factory method that creates instances of another class, I could show this relationship visually?

Currently there is no easy way to implement this funtionality. In order to support the "uses" relationship, we need to add another type that behavior same as the "Association" relationship. This requirement can only be done inside visual studio's codebase because class designer have not published its API.

For class designer's AddIn(http://www.codexplex.com/modeling), it can augment classdesigner's features by aggreating existing features but cannot add a new type.

We will consider to implement this requirement in future release of visual studio.

Thanks

hi

i think this is very useful feature.
it would add a lot of information to a class diagram and save a lot of time for developers who now have to search external files for additional documentation on how stuff works, who is calling who etc.
is it possible to include a change like this into service pack?

I also think that this would be extremely valueable.
